Susan’s Sound Advice #504

We all know the term “toxic people”, and usually we associate that term with those who are always negative, always miserable and always complaining. But, that’s not a complete and accurate description. Toxic people are also cheaters, liars, self-centered and narcissists. It is so sad that so many sit back and eat what these people dish out without taking the necessary action to get rid of them. Noone has the right to infect your energy, to make you feel bad or make you feel hurt. The toxic relationships in your life will eat up your time, your resources, and your sense of well-being, much like termites do to wood. By allowing yourself to be subjected to unhealthy relationships, you are inviting unnecessary stress, fear, guilt, self-doubt, and sadness to take up permanent residence in your life. By removing these people, you are taking back control of your own happiness. The contagious aspect of dealing with these kind of people causes you stress and worry, which affects your sleep, blood pressure and overall health. To be blunt: Toxic people make you sick! Remember this: You deserve to be surrounded by people who support you, accept you, encourage you and tell you the truth at all times. Don’t put it off another day. You deserve MUCH better!
