Susan’s Sound Advice #765

It may seem like this phrase is a little overused, but “walking the talk” truly stands the test of time as a barometer for a person’s true character. I have no patience for people who don’t follow through after making verbal commitments. When I say I will do something, 99. 9% of the time, I do it. If we are not congruent with what we say and what we actually do, our credibility is compromised. Theold adage, “actions speak louder than words” is true, and everyone around you easily observes when your words and actions are not in sync. It all starts with personal integrity: if you are honest with yourself, you will likely be more honest with others and you will be more inclined to do as you say. It is better to say a simple “no” rather than saying you will do something and then not doing it.
