Susan’s Sound Advice #1001

There are lots of people in this world. Some have depth and some are cardboard cutouts who admire wealth and fame over honest living and compassion. What they don’t realize is that possessions, as well as fame, can be whisked away in an instant. Our character, however, stays with us forever. If we focus on our character, our reputation will take care of itself. But if we lose the focus on what makes us three-dimensional, our character will always be called into question. The challenges we face in life on a constant basis are often opportunities for us to build our character – hence the term “character building”. It is crucial to be a person of substance…. a person who not only listens when someone is talking, but truly hears what they are saying and remembers days or even weeks later what was said in that conversation. If a promise was made, keep that promise. Be a friend, be loyal, . be honest and have integrity…. that is when you will be truly happy, and that is when you will be looked upon as a person of “character”. #susankorwin
