26 May Susan’s Sound Advice #1074
How many of us have had to deal with people who suddenly seem to have a chip on their shoulder? We know that they are obviously angry about something but they would rather not say a word and passive aggressively simmer with rage, contempt, disapproval and displeasure…in silence. Let’s face it: Confrontations are not easy, but the ability to have them is essential for any close relationship. None of us is perfect and sometimes we may inadvertently do something that insults or annoys someone. In my opinion, giving someone the silent treatment speaks volumes about a person’s character. If they don’t care enough about your friendship to lift a finger to pick up the phone, text or email you a reason why they are angry, then use your five fingers to wave goodbye to them. #susankorwin
