When I was a kid, some of my most memorable times were spent at amusement parks. My parents took us to Kiddy City in Queens, Rye Playland in Yonkers, and…my dad’s all-time favorite place of HIS childhood…Coney Island. I was fearless back then. There was no ride that I wouldn’t try, and I can still feel that adrenaline rush that I felt back then in anticipation of the start of the ride that would take me up to heights and speeds beyond my imagination. I still love these places, especially the ones that remain “old school”, ones that have the rides that I remember from my childhood. We should never stop enjoying life just because we are adults. Yes, life is scarier, yes, we are not as young as we used to be, but it doesn’t mean we have to stop living it. I enjoyed my day at the Coney Island Amusement Parks. Just hearing the clinks and clanks of the rides going up and down brought me back to a more innocent time, a time before technology took over, and a time I will always treasure! #susankorwin
