25 Jan Susan’s Sound Advice #115
Life can go from calm to chaotic in the blink of an eye. When a catastrophe strikes, it can cause us to go into a complete panic. Just like a riptide that strikes a calm ocean in a split second, the worst thing to do is panic and fight against it. The reason people don’t survive a riptide is because they exhaust themselves trying to swim against this strong and powerful force. If they relax and float along the current, eventually the waters calm again. The same goes for panic. Don’t flail around and try to fight against what’s going on. Stay calm and conserve your energy. You must know that, just like a riptide, your life will eventually settle down and calmness will prevail.
