In my book, I focus a lot on building one’s self-esteem, but another subject I focus on is the importance of perseverance (also known as “grit”). The real secret to success is not about I. Q or even talent. It’s about holding steadfast to a goal, even when there are bumps in the road and progress toward that goal is slow.
