Susan’s Sound Advice #1224

Yesterday, after dealing with a frustrating situation, I was walking through Whole Foods market when a little boy pointed to me and said to his mom, “She looks like a Mermaid mommy!”. This immediately put a smile on my face and the negative situation that I experienced earlier was overshadowed by this sweet little boy’s comment. Has anyone ever said something to you that destroyed your self confidence? Has anyone ever said something to you that built up your self confidence? Well, think about how you felt in both instances. It’s amazing how we have the power to destroy someone’s confidence just by what we say to them. On the other hand, our words can also build up someone’s self confidence in an instant. If you want to make someone’s day, then skip the criticism and give them some much-needed praise instead.
Every single one of us is something special and unique. Every single one of deserves to know it too. When you see something good, mention it, compliment it, and help to build it into something even greater. It’s so simple and so easy to do! #susankorwin
