Susan’s Sound Advice #126

It’s so hard for some of us to truly be who we are because we have been trained all our lives to live up to an expectation that the world believes is correct. We must begin to be content with ourselves and stop trying to change in order to fit into a certain “social group”. Stop caring about what people think of you. It really doesn’t matter. If you are always thinking about whether people think you are good looking, funny, fat or skinny, it is impossible to be yourself. If you change yourself to fit into one group, you will have to continue changing to fit into another group down the road. It will never end.
Don’t try to hide your imperfections to the world. None of us is perfect. Trying to be something you are not will always come across to people. Laugh at yourself, and you will be surprised at how people will be more attracted to you.
