Susan’s Sound Advice #1276

Many people look to spiritual and motivational speakers and authors and think they must have it all together, i. e. Tony Robbins, Deepak Chopra, the late and great Wayne Dyer, Iyania Vanzant etc, etc. These people will be the first to tell you that they too have to work at it every single day, and even they sometimes fall short of their expectations. In my case, I deliberately write in my book all about my weaknesses because I don’t want anyone to think that I am sitting in an ivory tower preaching to the masses. By honestly sharing my struggles, I am letting everyone know that each and every one of us is a work in progress. One does not have to be perfect to be a mentor and a motivator. It does not make us a fraud if we have days that we are less than positive or if we honk our horn at the slow driver in front of us. No one has it all figured out, so just keep living your life with passion and good values and don’t feign perfection. If you make a mistake, just re-set your course. The only frauds in life are those who won’t admit that their life is imperfect. #susankorwin
