Susan’s Sound Advice #129

I have attended two Masquerade Balls and noticed something interesting. Normal people become a little more crazy and less inhibited when protected by the anonymity of a mask. In order to hide our insecurities, we put on a “mask” to show the world a different face. Wearing a mask for a short time is fine, but constantly putting on a facade is exhausting. You lose out on meaningful relationships and don’t let people get too close for fear that your real “face” will be exposed. Drop the act. Do whatever possible to become your authentic self. Why waste the rest of your life pretending to be something or someone other than YOU. Susan Korwin Life and Style Coach
