Susan’s Sound Advice #156

Even if a chicken wears a coat of many feathers and struts around saying, “gobble, gobble” 24 hours a day, this still does NOT make him a turkey. The chicken is only going to get frustrated because he will never succeed at being a turkey. The same goes for us humans who try to imitate what others do in order to get the attention they so desperately need. Don’t get me wrong. Looking at successful people and noticing how they conduct themselves in order to be successful is wonderful. You are taking positive action steps toward your own success. But, people who directly imitate others usually do it because they have low self images and lack the confidence in their own individual talents. By imitating someone else, you are not offering others the unique talents YOU were born with. Always do what you do best…Being Yourself!
