Susan’s Sound Advice #158

Are you one of those who complains most of the time? For many of us, complaining has become such a habit, that it becomes second nature to think in negative terms. We complain about the rain, we complain about the cold, we complain that it’s too hot. Does complaining ever solve anything? No. All is does is make our world more negative. Ponder these thoughts:
1. Why do we complain about our jobs when thousands are out of work?
2. Why do we complain that we have to exercise when many can’t even walk?
3. Why is it that we complain that our house is too small when many are homeless?
The list can go on and on.
Always remember that by complaining about your situation in life, you are trashing all the bountiful blessings you have been presented with in life. Stay grateful for what you DO have instead of what you don’t. When you find yourself beginning to complain, think back at my list and say, “why am I complaining about___________, when___________?”
I, for one, am not going to complain that it is raining today. Why should I when I know that because of the rain, Spring’s beauty will appear.
