22 Mar Susan’s Sound Advice #159
Many times, when in the audience and watching an orchestra, I wonder if the guy playing the triangle, or the fourth lady playing the viola, is really being heard.
They may be playing instruments that are not the loudest, yet they are just as important to the overall sound of the music as the drums or the trombone. It’s the same with life. You may not think you matter or that you have anything tooffer others, but you do! I may not be Tony Robbins, but I remind myself on a daily basis that even if the only thing I do today is offer a bit of encouragement or motivation to another person, that’s perfect! And, even if someone doesn’t like what I have to say, I am content knowing that at least I offered it.
Everyone of us has a unique gift. Learn to develop your talent. Don’t live for the compliments or expect people to applaud you. Do something because YOU know you are good at it. Be impressed with yourself. I promise that once you are impressed with what you do, others will appreciate it too.
