15 Apr Susan’s Sound Advice #175
Yesterday I met someone who is going through a divorce. All she kept saying was how much she regretted the fact that she ever married this man and wasted ten years of her life with him. I told her that nothing in life is a waste and that regretting things you’ve done in the past is a waste of energy. I told her to forgive herself, forgive him, and move on. Regrets weigh us down and paralyze us from moving forward. Everything in life, whether good or bad, is a valuable experience. You may not see it at the time, but the knowledge gained reveals itself later on. Every negative experience can be turned into a positive experience.
