Susan’s Sound Advice #21

Yesterday I was feeling a little down because it was a special day and I missed my parents terribly. I thought about a friend of theirs, a widower, who was a very good friend to my dad in the years after my mom passed away. I decided to look up his number and give him a call. He was so happy to hear from me, and I offered to come over one day next week and take him to lunch. The reaction was purejoy! By the time I hung up the phone, my sadness had dissipated. I always say, you can change someone’s life for the better by doing a simple good deed, and it has
multiple payoffs for all involved. The size of a good deed is not important, only that you
do something for someone else. The payoff for you is “priceless”!
