In our society, high value is placed on outward beauty. From advertising to beauty pageants to plastic surgeons promising to make us more beautiful, we learn from a young age that if we are attractive, we are a winner. But, don’t you think that we as a society should look beyond a “pretty face”? How about looking deeper to find who that person really is. We really need to acknowledge the beautifulinner qualities of people and teach our young children from an early age that being beautiful on the inside is what really counts. Qualities such as respect, integrity and appreciation of others is, to me, what makes a person beautiful. We all can make ourselves attractive from the outside. Makeup and other temporary fixes will definitely to that.
