Susan’s Sound Advice #260

Friends are respectful towards each other and hold each other in high esteem. Best friends don’t speak rudely to each other. If a friend starts to doubt their capabilities, you would jump in and point out their strengths, skills and past achievements. We are like coachesÂ…encouraging our friends to reach their goals and dreams. Can you imagine what your life would be like if you did the same for yourself? You must choose to lift yourself up instead of beating yourself down. Pay attention to what you say to yourself, as negative self-talk is habit-forming and adds to low self-esteem. Be as kind and gracious to yourself as you would be to your best friend! © 2011 Susan Korwin
