Susan’s Sound Advice #272

Most of us have doubts about ourselves in specific areas. I used to be afraid of public speaking, so I took a course in college which helped me a lot. Do you have one or two areas that cause you to doubt yourself? If so, fix those areas.
For instance, if you doubt your physical abilities, try taking a class that involves some kind of physical activity. If you have doubts about your social skills, get out there, attend events, and force yourself to talk to one new person a day. This may be a daunting task, but the more you feed the beast of doubt and low self-esteem, the larger it will grow. If you fail a few times, don’t fret. Your failures are moving you closer to the desired outcome…and that’s a good thing!© 2011 Susan Korwin
