Susan’s Sound Advice #346

Throughout our lives we are taught that praising ourselves is selfish and egotistical. But praising ourselves is something that nourishes our self-worth and causes us greater happiness which, in turn, spreads to others. Think of something…no matter how small. . that you like about yourself. Give yourself the praise you deserve, just as you would a friend. Every time someone compliments you, write it down or remember it for later. When you get home, put the note in a box labeled “Great Things About Me”. After a while, the box will get fuller and fuller. Whenever you get “down”, look at the notes and remember how wonderful you truly are.
