Susan’s Sound Advice #355

Yesterday, my dear friend DD Todd McCormick, posted about a vintage Triumph motorcycle which reminded me that I drove a Triumph Spitfire when I was young. I then had a sudden desire to walk down memory lane and find a photo from that great time in my life. Many of us are struck with moments that jolt our minds into the past. It can be anything from a song to a candy that we used to munch on when we were kids. Even though we are told to live in the moment and not look back, every once in a while it is healthy and uplifting to take a stroll down memory lane. I read in “Psychology Today” that thinking of good memories for just 20 minutes a day can make people more cheerful and happier than if they think of their current lives. Pleasant memories are the antidote to feeling blue. So, go ahead, put on that oldies station, pull out that photo album, and remember the times of your life!
