Whenever our ego takes charge of our emotions, it’s only telling us half the story, and that story is only our view of the situation. We are constantly being hit with “ego darts”. . someone embarrasses us, someone insults us, someone did a better job and got more recognition, etc. If you can control your ego, and not let it ruin your day, you will indeed live a much happier life. The first step is being aware of what triggers set you off. For some of us it’s aging, for others it’s their weight or job status. Don’t let your ego stand in the way of your success simply out of fear or embarrassment. Acknowledge the feelings you are having, then move on.
