“I’m miserable because I hate my job”;” I’m sad because my boyfriend hasn’t called me”;” I will never be happy because I have bad luck”…. . Your circumstances do not hold the key to your happiness. They don’t hold all that power. If you depend on circumstances to make you happy, you will never be happy because life is constantly changing, and by depending on someone or something to make you happy is like handing over your joy on a silver platter. Don’t do it! Own your happiness and don’t give it away. This is the one time in life you are allowed to be selfish.
