Part of the reason why billions of people buy lottery tickets every day is because in their minds they think that if they win, they’ll never have to worry again. The answers to all their problems will be solved! As evidenced by many of the sad endings for many “big winners” of the lottery, this is not the case. You can’t overcome insecurity from the outside. Nothing…not a fancy car, a prestigious job, nor a gorgeous, young person on your arm, will substitute for the deep distrust you have for yourself. Start working on yourself from the inside out. It’s great to have lots of money and all the bells and whistles that go with it. But, when we are truly not happy with ourselves, it never ends. We keep needing more and more external gratification. Coaching yourself through positive self-talk and working hard to reach positive goals is the first step. Remember, no one and nothing can do it for you.
