One of my favorite songs, written by Rogers and Hammerstein, is called, “You’ll Never Walk Alone”. Here are some of the lyrics: “When you walk through the storm, hold your head up high, And don’t be afraid of the dark. At the end of the storm there’s a golden sky and the sweet silver song of the lark. Walk on through the wind, Walk on through the rain, though your dreams be tossed and blown. Walkon, walk on, with hope in your heart, and you’ll never walk alone, you’ll never walk alone”. It is helpful to remember that no matter how fierce a storm can be or how much damage it leaves in its wake, it does eventually move off and away. It is temporary. After the storm has spun itself out, the area that was the eye remains. No matter how large or ferocious the storm, this “eye” within is always present. Use this “eye” as the constant in your life no matter how the outward circumstances change.
