15 Dec Susan’s Sound Advice #411
We are all born clean slates with no sense of what is right and what is wrong. We are either taught or we learn on our own what choices are the correct ones. These choices are apparent to us when we approach life’s “forks in the road”. We are faced with the decision…to take the right path or the wrong path. The right path, often the correct decision glares at us with illumination and is clearly seen for miles. Many take that road. However, the wrong path, is filled with obstacles and hurdles, even though it may appear beautiful and tantalizing. I know many people who chose the wrong path and suffered enormously because of that decision. However, even though the wrong path was chosen, and even though that path took them to some very scary places, in their heart and mind, they knew that the right path never left the map and that they could change the route if they chose to. If you are one of those who are now on the wrong path, just know you can change. You are not a failure. Bad decisions are only bad when we stay in that situation. Find someone who believes in you, someone who can encourage you to take that first step toward the “right fork”.
