When you decide to try something new, embark on a different path, or just take a chance on something, people around you may ask, Where are you headed with this new thing?, Where will it lead?”, “How do you know it will work?”, Will you make any money?, “Be careful with that new relationship”, etc. These people probably don’t mean any harm, but their opinions may create self-doubt and knock the wind out of your sails. Just nod your head at them and say, “I really don’t know where this is headed, but I am willing to try”. It’s really ok not to know all the answers because none of us do! Your goal is to move ahead in life, and no matter how smart and successful other people are, they do not hold a crystal ball to see into your future. So, please don’t get distracted by negative thoughts, comments or critiques from others, or even from yourself. Just keep moving forward toward your goal.
