Susan’s Sound Advice #472

I love what Matthew McConaughey said in his acceptance speech about being his own hero and not looking to anyone else to fulfill his dreams. I have written about this before, but here I go again. It’s very difficult to be our own hero or else everyone would be wearing a cape. What is not difficult is making excuses and blaming others for our lot in life. When we are our own hero, we gain our powerby constantly taking full responsibility over the quality of our life. Sitting around with a victim mentality is our Kryptonite, and holding on to past hurts, blaming others, or complaining will make us weak just like that Kryptonite. NO ONE has the power over our happiness, our peace of mind or our success except us. Superman is not going to fly in and help us. If we ever need strength, support, heroism, or confidence, the only hero that you will ever need is YOU. #realherosdon ‘tneedacape #thepowerisinyou #supermanisbusy
