Susan’s Sound Advice #490

Do you recall a time that you received an unexpected call, text or email from someone who said something complimentary to you? How did it make you feel? I am sure it brightened your mood and brought a smile to your face. Did your impression of this person rise to a higher level of respect? To me, the most powerful thing a person can do is unexpectedly show others that they are important to them. When you take your time to surprise people with acts of kindness or words of love, you make them feel noticed, valued, and appreciated. I know that whenever someone tells me I’m doing a great job, my energy is renewed and I gain a certain bounce in my step. The good news is that you will also benefit because making others happy actually boosts endorphins similar to a “runner’s high”. So, today, make someone’s day. It doesn’t take a lot of effort yet the results are huge! #makesomeonehappy #showappreciation #payitforward
