Susan’s Sound Advice #51

There is something I have to deal with in a few weeks that I have been dreading. In life, there will be many times that we will have to “face our fears”. Yes, we can hide in our room and never have to worry about catching the flu or getting hurt in a relationship, but we would also never evolve into the person we were meant to be. Fear is like an imagined monster hiding under our bed. . once we acknowledge it, it loses its power.
All of us must
face rejection, failure, pain, humiliation, the ire of others,
and many other unpleasant aspects of life. Dealing with
these adversities is what helps us to develop our
character and define who we are. If we listen and begin to understand
our fears, we’ll realize just how strong our
character really is.
