Susan’s Sound Advice #531

When I appeared on ABC’s Good Morning Connecticut – I had no idea that the segment would appear on their website AND their YouTube channel. Out of sheer curiosity, . I looked at the website to see what the comments were. There were none on the ABC website, so it was then I decided to check out the YouTube site. Wow! Was I in for a shock. The haters were out in force! Example: “is she on a mind altering drug? Who is that positive?” , “I could have said the same thing, but I am not a tall redhead”, “She clearly lives in a fantasy world. All she needs is her ruby slippers”. I stopped reading after a certain point because I realized that there are people who make a sport out of hurting others. Let’s face it: people who are emotionally stable don’t spend their valuable time trying to destroy people. Obviously, they are broken. This was what I reminded myself as I began to doubt the way I appeared on the show. So, if you are dealing with a person or persons who find great joy in bashing you, whether it’s a client, a family member, a boss, etc, just keep in mind that their behavior has nothing to do with you. It’s a direct reflection of how they feel about themselves. Don’t give them any power or attention. They are going to hate no matter what you do. So, , keep being you. . un-. apologetically;;; ;!!!…
