In my book, the topic of “self-esteem” is addressed throughout. Without self-esteem, we cannot truly be happy and at peace, with ourselves or with others. Many of us think that if people admire us and compliment us, we will gain that self-esteem. Many of us think that if we are seen in the right places, we will gain self-esteem. Many of us think that if we buy that fancy car or live in that upscale neighborhood, we will then gain self-esteem. The answer is “NO”. We gain self-esteem by sharpening and building the two most important qualities that we are all born with: Integrity and Honesty. When we just take and never give, when we lie, cheat, renege on promises, hurt others, etc, we are tearing away at the fabric of our self-esteem. Doing the right thing, even when no one is looking, is the quickest and most effective way to feel good about yourself. Make it your goal today to do what’s right. Once you see the feeling you get from that experience, it will become a habit because the way you conduct your life is the way you ultimately gain self-worth. #beadecentperson #dotherightthing #selfworthisaninsidejob
