Susan’s Sound Advice #544

Think of every bad experience and every toxic person who comes into our life as a “necessary evil”. Don’t waste time trying to figure out the reasons why unfortunate things happen, as this will just keep you stuck. People can be cruel, situations can be unfair, but it does not mean you should allow them to control the rest of your life. Here’s an analogy: The formation of a natural pearl begins when a foreign substance slips into the oyster between the mantle and the shell, which irritateĀs the mantle. It’s kind of like the oyster getting a splinter. The oyster’s natural reaction is to cover up that irritant to protect itself. The manĀtle covers the irritant with layers of the same nacre substance that is used to create the shell. This eventually forms a pearl. If you can think of life’s disturbances as merely “irritants”, then just like an oyster you will make pearls out of life’s “splinters” #everythinghappensforareas on #pearlsofwisdom #lifelessons
