25 Jun Susan’s Sound Advice #584
Funny how events happen to prove the adage “walk the walk and talk the talk”. Today I wrote a post about how we can individually, through small action steps, make this world a more positive place and leave every person better off after meeting us. I was on line at the grocery, and the woman in front of me had about 5 items. After the items were rung up, she realized she didn’t have her credit cardand asked the cashier to delete all the items, except for one. I remembered my post today, and I thought, , , . “what kind of person would I be if I didn’t follow my own advice”…So, I offered to pay for all the items she didn’t have the cash for. Not only did she thank me profusely, but she also said that the next time she sees someone else in that position, she will do the same thing. After she walked out, the cashier and the store manager shook my hand and told me that they never witnessed anything like that…. ever! Did I possibly create positive change from my little gesture of kindness? I hope so!!!
