I just had a client who can’t seem to get over a person she was having a relationship with who continually lies, continually cheats, and basically treats her like garbage, She refuses to end the relationship until she gets an apology which, she then says, will give her closure. I say forget closure! The only apology necessary is the one you give yourself for staying with this person as long as youdid. The only person you need to see again is the person who is staring back at you in the mirror. Look at that reflection and say, “you know what? I stayed way too long, and my worth is much more than I am giving myself credit for”. THAT is your closure! As long as you keep dancing with the devil, you will remain in your own private hell…
