Susan’s Sound Advice #602

Let’s all remember that “bullying” is not acceptable. I am not even talking about children…but adults who act like children. Our world is a tapestry. A tapestry consists of different weaves of colors, styles and textures. We are all unique, we are all valuable. I noticed laughter and scoffs directed toward a woman last night dressed in an outfit not considered “typical” for a Hamptons event. Dothese women think that the person is deaf and blind? I felt so horrible for her, and it has now prompted me to write an excerpt from my book regarding bullying. Bullying is not always about hitting, pushing or physical abuse. But, it is ABUSE. Abuse of another person is a selfish, narcissistic and sadistic act perpetrated on victims who do not deserve to be treated in this way. I walked up to this woman during the evening and complimented her on her unique style. It doesn’t take much. If we all, as human beings, decided to say something nice to someone on a daily basis instead of belittling, smirking or poking fun, maybe, then maybe the bullies in this world will take a lesson. To those who judge and poke fun…. . take a look at yourself and gain your power by choosing kindness….
