A few weeks ago, I took a car service to an event in the city. We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a car cut in right in front of us. My driver slammed on his brakes, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! What’s so amazing is that the driver of the other car started yelling at my driver! He just smiled and waved at the guy. I couldn’t believe it. I told him he is a better person than I am because I would not have been so kind after someone almost ruined my car and could have injured me. The driver then said something that resonated with me…. He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they’ll dump it on you. He said don’t take it personally, just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don’t take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets I said it before and I will say it again: We find inspiration in the most unlikely places! I will remember this lesson the next time someone tries to throw their negativity my way. #dailyinspiration #susankorwin #lifecoach #author #simplestridestowardpositi vechange
