Susan’s Sound Advice #674

A good relationship should offer respite from chaos, should build your confidence when you are feeling short of self-esteem, and should be there for you during good times as well as bad. If a relationship is not bringing those valuable assets to your life, is it worth holding on to? The urban dictionary now has a new word, “frenemies”.
These people are not necessarily evil, but they are just space fillers. They don’t add any real value to your life. Here’s my two cents: If someone doesn’t inspire me, if someone doesn’t really wish me well, if someone smiles to my face yet stabs me in the back, I would rather be by myself. Many people are afraid of going it alone. But being alone is much healthier, more productive and more enjoyable than spending time surrounded by people who don’t add value to your life. Sometimes we need this alone time for self-evaluation. Getting to know yourself is the greatest relationship you will ever have. The time you feel the most lonely is the time you need to be by yourself. The hardest walk is walking alone, but it’s also the strongest. Your life will get better when you realize that it’s better to be alone than to feel alone with the wrong people. #dailyinspiration #susankorwin #lifecoach #author #simplestridestowardpositi vechange
