Today I have to write something that I hope won’t offend anyone, but I feel this must be said. I love giving advice. I write blogs and articles, and I post daily nuggets of advice on Facebook and Google + daily. I do this because I enjoy it, On a daily basis, I receive at least 5 Facebook messages and numerous emails from people “picking my brain” about a problem they are having at the moment. I try to be polite and answer, but, after being awakened last night by someone who somehow got my business phone number (which is private), I felt the need to say my peace. This person had no intention of paying me, but just felt they needed to “vent” to a Life Coach. This is not fair to me. My knowledge is what I use to make a living just like anyone else. I think because the internet is filled with free information, people automatically assume that I too can provide them with free advice. If someone came to a Lawyer or a Dentist and said, “I don’t have the money, but I’ll buy you lunch instead”, how do you think they would react? I will end this post now. I think I made my point. I will continue to write my daily blogs, but I have to end it there as far as “free advice”.
