10 Oct Susan’s Sound Advice #699
In my business, I get to see the best and the worst of people. I deal with people who are angry, bitter, nasty and vindictive. I also see people who are kind, compassionate and who truly mean well and never want to hurt others. The life lesson in this is that no matter who we are, no matter how good we are, we aren’t always going to be treated fairly, It doesn’t give us immunity from misfortune. So, realize that you can’t always count on others to respect your feelings, even if you respect theirs. Just because you are a good person, it doesn’t guarantee that others will be good too. You only have control over yourself. You can either accept them or walk away. But, don’t get jaded or cynical. Just realize that there are many types of people in this world, and don’t take anything personally. Focus on those who have caring hearts.
