Susan’s Sound Advice #71

I
believe our greatest barrier to improving in life is our self-talk. We can be our own worst enemy!
We
all know the phrase, “You are what you eat. ”Well, the same principle applies to your thoughts. You are what
you think you are. The same goes for the words from others. There was a story about some men trying to win a race. They didn’t look to be in the greatest shape, and the crowd made comments like, “they’ll never make it”, “they are too fat”, etc. One by one, the men dropped out, falling to the ground in exhaustion. One of them, the heaviest of all, kept on going and made it to the finish line. Why? Because he was deaf!
The
wisdom of this story: Never
listen to other people’s tendencies to be negative
or pessimistic. They steal your most wonderful
dreams and wishes away.
Always
think of the power words have. Everything you hear
and read will affect your actions!
BE
POSITIVE! And above all, be DEAF when people
tell you that you cannot fulfill your dreams! Always
think: I can do this!
