Age is something that has been a hot topic lately. In my “circle”, the subject of age comes up at least once in every conversation. “How did we get this old”? “Where did the time go”? Let’s face it: We all know people who are twenty yet act sixty and, conversely, those that are eighty and act twenty. So, what exactly is the definition of “age”? It is the actual amount of time you have existed as ahuman being nothing more and nothing less. We are only as old or as young as we want to be. I was told when I was 40, that women should cut their hair short and dress conservatively. I didn’t listen then, and I still haven’t! Instead of thinking about what you should or shouldn’t do because of the year you were born, why don’t you think about how you can be your best and focus on what you want to do with your life. What excites you? I enjoy dancing every day to hip hop, rock, pop and whatever else gets my blood pumping. If climbing Mount Everest is on your bucket list, go ahead and do it! Do not allow age to be an excuse to not live your life and throw in the towel. Don’t let others dictate the “norm” about your age group. We are all as young as we want to be! And…by the way…. . worrying is NOT going to make the clock stop. So stop worrying about aging.
