Susan’s Sound Advice #757

Everyone has that little voice in their head telling them “you can’t do it, ” “you’ll never succeed, ” or “it’s going to be too hard and take too much time, so why even try?”… Everyone! Once you realize this voice is lying to you, a whole new realm of possibilities opens up for you. What if you knew, REALLY knew, that anything was possible? How would your life change? The more you stop believing thatvoice which enjoys instilling doubt in you, the more you will notice that those thoughts will start dwindling, and eventually disappear. When we are babies, we make all our decisions based on our feelings. We don’t sit and think things through before deciding to walk or talk. We just do it, and if we fall, we get up again. When we built sandcastles on the beach and a wave came and washed it away, we laughed and started over. It’s when we got older that we became programmed to worry about failing, not being perfect, and telling ourselves that we are not good enough. Let’s go back to trusting our feelings and not our negative inner voice. Life is not about perfection. It’s about being “perfectly imperfect” and enjoying the “ups” and having a sense of humor about the “downs”.
