14 Jan Susan’s Sound Advice #788
Today I went to have my car serviced. Now, I have to say that I have never had a bad experience because this dealership always treats me well. But, I have to give a shout out to a guy who is not a bigwig, not a service manager, not even an assistant service manager. He is one of the workers who helps around the service department. When I walked in this morning, around 8 am, I was greeted first byFelix. He hugged me, wished me Happy New Year, asked me if I wanted coffee, and his face had a smile that would light up a dark room. He truly started off my day on the right foot. Now, fast-forward to this afternoon when I went back to pick up my car. Again Felix was there, and while the service managers were taking care of the paperwork, he went out to retrieve my car. Lo and behold, he returned and said that the car wasn’t washed yet. I wasn’t thrilled because I really had to get home in time for an appointment. Felix personally took my car and washed it himself, returning it back to me in a few minutes with the same contagious smile. I have said this many times before: It doesn’t matter what job you have. Whether you pump gas, wait on tables, or are a CEO, if you enjoy what you do, treat people with respect and kindness, your actions will promote a chain reaction. Every single job in this world is important if you make a positive impact on another person. I want to thank Felix because I “caught” a bug from him today……he infected me with his kindness! #susankorwin
