Here is my two cents about the Kanye West/Beck situation at the Grammys: There are many forums to debate the talent and merits of different works of art, but the “finish line” is not one of them. Awards are a great thing. They create excitement and buzz, and everyone who is nominated feels more encouraged to reach greater heights. But seriously…how can you define what “best” is? Is someone more worthy because a small percentage of the huge population voted for them? The answer is this: Everyone is talented in their own way. Everyone views people’s talent in their own way. Awards, reviews, critiques…they are ALL purely subjective. People like Kanye West, who second guessed and criticized a decision that was made for an awards show not only sounds like a fool, but also makes him look like a serious sore loser. Grow up. #susankorwin
