Susan’s Sound Advice #845

When Eleanor Roosevelt said, “do one thing every day that scares you”, she didn’t mean watch The Exorcist or go on the internet and “google” your physical symptoms. If you would have told me 20 years ago that I would be standing in the middle of a busy New York City street while Con Ed workers paused what they were doing to stop traffic, I would have said you were crazy. I remember shaking like aleaf because I felt so intimidated and wondered if I was making a fool out of myself. But, the other voice in my head was whispering…”what do you have to lose?…just have fun!”. I can honestly say that I have left my comfort zone more in the last 10 years than I have in my whole life, and it has been so worth it. We all come face to face with fear…fear of flying, fear of heights, and the greatest fear of all: Fear of failure. Fear can paralyze us, so what do we do when we feel those icy-cold hands trying to hold us back? We take action! Action, no matter what the outcome, equals success. Without action we remain stagnant. #susankorwin Susan Korwin Life and Style Coach
