Working with people has given me some insight into the process of success. Regardless of our background, skills or experience, we can’t be successful until we feel confident about who we are and what we’re doing. We mistakenly think that if we are successful, we will then be confident. In fact, it is the opposite! Feeling confident first opens the door to success and achieving our goals. Others take their cue from you. If you are confident, people will have confidence in you. If you seem hesitant and unsure, no one will feel comfortable putting their trust in you. We all have strengths. Make a list, even the smallest thing, of what you do well. Even if it’s making a great cup of cofee or being able to cross your eyes, notice how you feel about it. That feeling is confidence. Just like rabbits, the feeling of confidence eventually multiplies when you start paying attention to your strengths instead of your weaknesses.
