Here’s a quick story about how the little things can really make our day! Yesterday was my birthday, and it was a great one. My dear friend Rob Ordonez II invited me to his house in the morning to take some photos and videos and then treated us to a wonderful brunch along with his partner Robert. He also gave me his iconic cherry necklace which I am wearing in the attached photo. Then Robert Korwin and I spent some time in the city before meeting up with Anthony J. DiGuiseppe and Danielle for an extraordinary dinner at the Hunt & Fish Club. After dinner, while walking to our car, a bunch of young people in their 20’s walked by and one said, “Miss, you look amazing”. You have no idea what that meant to me! I think many women over a certain age will relate to what I am saying. To be called “Miss” instead of “Maam” is music to the ears. That small comment came at the exact perfect time because all day I was joking about how I am over the hill! Let’s face it: Life gives us much sadness, but it also gives us much beauty. That is why we have to just keep going because you never know when the universe is going to give us a small pat on the back. #susankorwin
