08 May Susan’s Sound Advice #905
Since Sunday is Mother’s Day, I want to write something today, as I may not have the chance this weekend. To all of you out there who are moms, and to all of you dads who are single parents raising your children, Happy Mother’s Day. You are all amazing and powerful! Being a mother is the most amazing, transformational experience a woman can ever go through. It can be both beautiful and excruciatingin the same day. If you want my opinion, being a mom is the hardest job I have ever had. There’s never-ending drama sprinkled with all-encompassing love. From the minute you leave that delivery room to the day you walk them down the aisle, your life is never the same. My own mom was my biggest cheerleader. If she were alive today, she would be here on Facebook commenting (and probably embarrassing me). I miss her terribly. I am a mom to three amazing sons. They are my heart and soul, and I am their biggest fan. Being a mom changed my life for the better in so many ways. Sure, it was tough when they were little. They were typical boys, and I always had to have eyes in back of my head because they were always getting into some kind of mischief. There were times I wanted to pull my hair out, but I wouldn’t have had it any other way. Motherhood is a beautiful ride, a wild ride, and the most incredible journey one can ever take, I always knew my life would change drastically once I became a mom, and yet, I had no idea at all until I experienced it. #happymothersday #susankorwin
