I don’t know if you know this, but not only do I help people with emotional issues, I also help people with practical issues, such as eating right and exercising. I also am a stylist. If you have read my book, you already know this from the several chapters at the end of the book. That being said, I want to talk about food. You’ve no doubt heard the saying, “you are what you eat”, so if you eat “garbage” you will feel like garbage. That’s a fact. There is a reason why European and Asian countries previously not considered high in cancer and diabetes rates are starting to rise in correspondence with more fast food outlets from the west being built. Let’s face it: We all love food, and it is a necessity in order to live. And that’s what it should be. We should eat to live and not live to eat! Grocery stores have plenty of healthy options, but they are also stocked with non-nutritional, artery-blocking, artificially-flavored snack foods that offer nothing more than wasted calories. We all need to indulge every once in a while, but not every day, and not to the extreme. In life, balance is key, and that applies to foods you eat too. When you start making smarter decisions about your health, your body will thank you for it. Even if it is just one small step a day…like swapping out an apple or carrot sticks for a bag of chips…. you will eventually begin to notice those tiny decisions in the way you look and feel. Change is never easy. but remember…. . you are what you eat. Limit your dairy, red meat and fried foods and then come back to me and tell me how you feel. #susankorwin
